Me and My Friends uses harmonic and rhythmic sophistication to build bridges between generations and genres. Music is their native language — from R&B, Soul, Nu Jazz, House and Chill to EDM.
Magic Mendez is the founder of Magic Muzik Productions, LLC, and Magic Eye Muzik. Magic has written, produced and/or performed with Maurice White (Earth Wind and Fire,) Howard Hewett, The Emotions, Phil Perry, George Duke, Gerald Albright, Russ Freeman & The Rippingtons, The Manhattans, Glodean & Linda (formerly of Love Unlimited), and the late great Kevin Spencer of Dynasty, who introduced Magic and Harmony to the The Whispers. The duo's talent was, and continues to be, a vital part of The Whispers Legacy. Magic is The Whispers longstanding producer, composer, arranger and vocalist, while Harmony has contributed to the recording studio production as a background vocalist, writer and assistant engineer.
Magic and Harmony perform with The Whispers with Magic on Bass and Vocals, and Harmony (the first female in the group's history) serving as Playback Engineer and Background Vocalist.
The two versatile vocalists and multi-instrumentalists have been performing together since meeting in New York at age 16. Together Magic and Harmony create a musical experience that connects people through rhythm, creativity and the power of togetherness with an extra shining Starr.
